What are the system requirements for taking a Xobin assessment? (Proctored and Semi Proctored, Non Proctored)

Refer to the guide below for full browser and device requirements:

What browser and device should candidates use?

Proctored & Semi-Proctored Assessments:

These assessments monitor the candidate's environment using advanced tracking tools and therefore require a higher network speed and a stable system setup.

  • Internet Connection: Minimum 50 Mbps; recommended 100 Mbps or higher.
  • Device: A laptop or desktop with a functional webcam and microphone.
  • Browser Setup: Open the test in a Google Chrome Incognito window (Ctrl + Shift + N for Windows and Cmd + Shift + N for MacBook).
  • Preparation Checklist:
    • Clear browser history and cache before starting.
    • Disable all active browser extensions and plugins, as they may interfere with proctoring scripts.
    • Restart the browser immediately before opening the assessment.
  • Background Setup: Candidates must sit in front of a plain background. In AI-proctored assessments, objects such as photographs or posters in the background may be flagged as violations.

Non-Proctored Assessments:

These assessments do not actively monitor the candidate's camera or microphone, so resource and network requirements are lower.

  • Internet Connection: Minimum 30 Mbps; recommended 50 Mbps or higher.
  • Device: A laptop or desktop is strongly recommended for the best experience. Tablets are supported, but mobile phones are not advisable.
