How to handle camera or microphone permission issues?

A working webcam and microphone are required for proctored assessments. On encountering permission issues, follow the steps below:


  1. Grant Permissions via Pop-Up
  • When prompted, click Allow to grant camera and microphone access, then click Continue to proceed.


  1. If No Pop-Up Appears — Option 1
  • Click the lines icon on the top-left of the Chrome address bar.
  • Toggle on Camera and Microphone access.
  • Click Continue.


  1. If Still Not Working — Option 2
  • Manually enable camera and microphone access from the address bar.
  • Refresh the page once.


  1. Enable via Browser Settings
  • Go to Chrome Settings → Privacy and Security → Site Settings.
  • Find xobin.com and set Camera and Microphone to Allow.
  • Refresh the page.


  1. Enable via System Settings
  • If the issue persists after the above steps, go to your System Settings, locate the camera and microphone settings, and enable access for your browser.


Before starting the test:
| Close all apps using the camera or microphone (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, etc.).
| Ensure your webcam is at least 720p quality.
| Make sure your face is clearly visible with proper lighting and a plain background
