What is a Webhook?

A webhook is a method of enabling real-time communication between applications by automatically sending data updates whenever a specific event occurs. Unlike APIs, which require manual requests to fetch data, webhooks work asynchronously by pushing data to a specified URL the moment an event is triggered — making them a powerful tool for integrating platforms and automating workflows.

How Webhooks Work in Xobin

In Xobin, webhooks instantly notify you when a candidate completes an assessment, along with their assessment report details. By setting up a webhook URL, you can achieve real-time data synchronization between Xobin and your preferred tools, ensuring seamless workflow integration.

Configuring webhooks in Global Assessment Settings ensures they are automatically applied to all future assessments in a single step.

Setting Up a Webhook

1. Log In to Your Account

• Go to https://app.xobin.com/signin
• Sign in with your credentials.

2. Navigate to the Settings Tab

• Click the user icon in the top bar.
• Select Settings.
• Alternatively, click your name in the bottom-left corner and select Settings from the popup.

For Assessments

3. Access the Assessments Section

• In the top bar, click Assessments.

4. Navigate to Webhooks

• Click on Webhooks.
• Toggle on the required webhook options.
• Enter your webhook URL in the provided field for each event.

5. Test the Webhook

• Click Test to verify that the webhook is functioning correctly.
• Once verified, click Save Webhooks in the bottom-right corner.

• A prompt will appear with two options:
• • Yes, Update All — Apply the webhook URL to all existing assessments as well as all future assessments.
  • No, Just Here — Apply the webhook URL only to future assessments, leaving existing assessments unchanged.
• Select your preferred option.

For AI Interviews

6. Access the AI Interviews Section

• In the top bar, click AI Interviews.

7. Navigate to Webhooks

• Click on Webhooks.
• Toggle on the required webhook options.
• Enter your webhook URL in the provided field for each event.

8. Save the webhooks

• Once verified, click Save Webhooks in the bottom-right corner.

• A prompt will appear with two options:
• • Yes, Update All — Apply the webhook URL to all existing assessments as well as all future assessments.
  • No, Just Here — Apply the webhook URL only to future assessments, leaving existing assessments unchanged.
• Select your preferred option.
