How to randomize questions within an assessment?

Randomizing a pool of questions ensures that each candidate receives a different set of questions, maintaining assessment integrity and fairness.

  1. Log In to Your Account

  1. Navigate to the Assessments Tab
  • In the sidebar, scroll down and click Assessments.

  1. Open the Advanced Assessment Builder
  • Click Manage next to the required assessment.

  • Click Edit.
  • Click + Advanced Builder in the top-right corner.

  1. Randomize Questions
  • Click on the required section in the left panel.
  • Click Randomization for that section.

  • For each difficulty level, select Any to randomize across the question pool.
  • Enter the number of questions to be presented to each candidate from the pool.
  • Click Save settings.
  • To remove existing randomization rules, click Remove randomisation rules.

Ensure all required questions are added to the section before setting randomization rules. Once randomization is applied, the section will be locked and cannot be edited. To make changes, you will need to remove the randomization rules first.

  1. Save the Assessment
  • Click Save Edited Assessment in the top-right corner to apply your changes.
