How to configure a coding test?

  1. Log In to Your Account


  1. Navigate to the Assessments Tab
  • In the sidebar, click Assessments.


  1. Create a New Assessment
  • Click + Create Assessment.



  • Select Start from scratch.
  • Enter the assessment name and click Continue.



  1. Add Skills
  • From the dropdown in the left sidebar, select Coding.
  • Search for the required skill and click on it to add it to the section.



  • Choose the required languages.
  • Click + Add questions to add the coding questions to that section.



  1. Configure a Section
  • Double click on the section name to edit it.
  • Click on the skill "Coding Questions" to view the questions.
  • Click on a question to view it fully.
  • Adjust the difficulty levels by clicking + or - against each level.
  • Click on bin icon next to a question to delete it.
  • Click Off-Tab Enable to toggle off-tab tracking on or off.
  • Click Shuffle Questions to enable or disable question shuffling between candidates.
  • Edit the section duration in the Section Time Limit text box. The overall assessment duration will update automatically.
  • Click Section Time Limit to enable or disable timing for that section.



  1. Save the Assessment
  • Create another section by using "+Add Section".
  • Click the pen icon in the top-left corner to edit the assessment name.
  • Set the cut-off score by clicking on the text box.
  • Click Create Assessment to save.



In case of using Advanced Builder:


  1. Log In to Your Account


  1. Navigate to the Assessments Tab
  • In the sidebar, click Assessments.


  1. Open the Advanced Builder
  • Click Manage next to the required assessment.



  • Click Edit.
  • Click + Advanced Builder in the top-right corner.



  1. Add Questions from the Library
  • Choose the required section.
  • Click + Select Questions from Library.



  • Choose whether to add Global Questions or My Questions.
  • Select Coding.
  • Choose the compilers that you want.
  • Use the difficulty level toggles to filter questions.
  • Tick the checkbox next to each question you want to include.
  • Once all required questions are selected, click Add n Questions at the bottom.
  1. Save the Assessment
  • Click + Add Section to add more sections if needed.
  • Set the section time and cut-off score using the Timer and Cut-Off text boxes respectively.
  • Click Save Edited Assessment to apply all changes.
