USER ROLES AND PERMISSIONS:
The role assigned to you on the Xobin dashboard defines your access level, responsibilities, and permissions within the platform. It determines what features you can use, such as creating tests, reviewing candidates, managing users, or accessing reports, ensuring smooth collaboration and secure handling of hiring workflows.
Xobin supports four default user roles:
- Super Admin
- Admin
- Observer
- Test Creator
- Super-Admin
The primary Xobin account user and the one who has all the rights to use the entire Xobin platform.
Permissions:
- Assessments: Create, edit, and preview tests; manage settings, invite candidates, and export reports.
- Tracks: Build and configure tracks, send them to candidates, and manage all incoming responses.
- AI Interviews: Full control over scheduling, interviewer configurations, candidate invites, and reporting.
- Billing: Complete authority over subscriptions, payments, and all finance-related operations.
- Account & Users: Manage company branding and user administration — including adding up to 10 users, assigning and modifying roles (including custom roles), and managing invitations.
- Admin
The secondary Xobin account user and the one who has the following rights in the Xobin platform.
Permissions:
- Assessments: Create, edit, and preview tests; manage settings, invite candidates, and export reports.
- Tracks: Build and configure tracks, send them to candidates, and manage all incoming responses.
- AI Interviews: Full control over scheduling, interviewer configurations, candidate invites, and reporting.
- Billing: Only view the Billing section.
- Account: Manage company branding.
- Observer
Observer has only the below right in the entire Xobin platform.
Permissions:
- **Assessments: **Preview tests; view or export reports.
- Test Creator
- Test Creator has only the below right in the entire Xobin platform.
Permissions:
- **Assessments: **Create, edit, and preview tests; manage settings;
HOW TO CHANGE USER ROLES AND PERMISSION: CAN BE DONE ONLY BY SUPER ADMIN
- Log In to Your Account
- Go to https://app.xobin.com/signin
- Sign in with your credentials.
- Navigate to the Settings Tab
- Click the user icon in the top bar.
- Select Settings.
- Alternatively, click your name in the bottom-left corner and select Settings from the popup.

- View Team Members
- Go to the Users panel to view all members in your account.

- Changing a Team Member's Role
- Click Change Role next to the member whose role you want to update.

- Select the new role from the dropdown.
- Click Save role.

- Viewing Role Permissions in Detail
- Click on Roles to view a detailed breakdown of the permissions assigned to each role.
