How to Create an AI Interview in Xobin?
Imagine interviewing 100+ candidates, without lifting a finger. With Xobin’s Agentic AI Interviewer, you can now conduct real-time, adaptive interviews at scale – with zero manual effort. It intelligently interacts with candidates, asks contextual follow-ups, and evaluates responses – just like a human interviewer!
- To create an AI Interview, sign in to the Xobin Dashboard and navigate to the AI Interviews module from the left sidebar.

- Click Create From Scratch to begin the setup. You can also use the pre-made templates available.

- Start by typing the Job Role Name (for example: UI Designer, Python Developer, HR Manager). Click Create Interview.
Once you enter the role name, the AI automatically:
- Generates a job description for the role
- Creates a tailored interview plan with must-have and nice-to-have skills
- Assigns the most suitable questioning approach for each skill
Example: Coding or Debugging questions for technical skills, and Scenario-based questions for non-technical skills
If you already have a job description, you can add it instead. The AI will then tailor the interview plan based on your provided JD, ensuring the skills and questioning approach align with your specific hiring requirements.

- A Job Description based on the Job Role has been created. You can edit, regenerate or add your own job description. Once done, click Next.

Must-Have Skills: These are mandatory or required skills for the job. It is recommended to keep a maximum of 4 skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills: These are additional skills that are not mandatory but desirable to have. It is recommended to add only 1-2 skills here.

Editing Questions and Questioning Style
You can customize both the questions and the questioning approach for each skill.
Edit a Question
- Click on the skill name.
- Select the existing question.
- Delete the question text and enter your own.
- Click Save Changes to apply the update.
Change the Questioning Approach
- Click the radio button corresponding to the desired questioning approach.
- Important: Once you add or edit a custom question, the questioning approach cannot be changed.
- This is because the questioning approach and the question are linked. Changing the approach automatically replaces the entire question.
Recommendation: Finalize the questioning approach before editing or adding your own question.
Delete a Skill
- Click the bin icon next to the skill, or
- Use the Delete Skill button.

- Click Next to move forward once you are done with your customization if necessary.
- You can customize the interview experience. Here, you can choose how the AI should conduct the interview. You can add Icebreaker questions, Wrap-Up questions, and Additional questions of your own.

- The next step is to build the AI Interview Avatar from the available options. This avatar will appear during the candidate’s interview.

- You can also select the Interview Language. The entire interview will be conducted in the language you choose. Click Next after selecting the avatar and language.

- After that, set up the Proctoring Settings. You can enable or disable Proctoring to monitor candidate activity, set the Interview Duration based on your preference. You can also set a Cutoff Score, which is the minimum score required to move candidates forward in the hiring process.

- Click Save Interview button to create the interview. It will be launched in your dashboard to use.
